Friends,

This Friday's dance practice will take place in the club house of the Polish American String Band. It is located at the corner of Westmoreland and Salmond Streets, in Port Richmond. Since this is closer to many of us, and there is much material to cover, perhaps we should consider starting earlier, 7:30. Please let me know if YOU can make that.

I hope you enjoyed reading the article in the Polish American Journal about PKM. Now we have to work hard to meet those high expectations:)

Thanks to Edek for putting up the Lowicz video on YouTube from the Czestochowa performance on May 2. Check it out!

Please join me in congratulating Deborah M. Majka, President of the American Council for Polish Culture (ACPC) on her appointment as Honorary Consul of the Republic of Poland in Philadelphia. Details as to the official inauguration with the participation of RP Ambassador Robert Kupiecki, Washington DC, and Consul Ewa Junczyk-Ziomecka, New York, and the opening of the Philadelphia office will follow. Everyone know Debbie works tirelessly to promote Polish culture and image and this appointment shows how much those efforts are appreciated and hopefully continue!

Please continue to review the Rzeszow video for Friday night!

This Friday we will also be accepting nominations for the 2010 - 2011 year. The following postions are open; President, VP, Secretary and Treasurer. All members of PKM in good standing for at least one year can be nominated. You can also nominate electronically. Elections will take place May 21.
