Witam,

This email is sent full of sorrow for Poland's recent loss. I am sure many of you are familiar with the details surrounding this tragedy. To show solidarity with the our fellow Poles, PKM will attend the Memorial Mass for Poland's President, Lech Kaczynski and the representatives who perished in the plane crash en route to commemorate the 70th Anniversary of the Katyn Massacre in Russia. The mass will take place on Friday, April 16, 2010 at 7PM at St. Adalbert Church. We ask that our PKM members attend in traditional Krakowiak costumes.

After the Mass, we will hold our Friday night dance practice at Polish Home at 8:30. We will be following Stephano's schedule.

This past Saturday PKM exprienced the trials and tribulations of the rich and famous, well, maybe just the famous. That's right, I am referring to our photo shoot with Stas! He literally took hundreds of pictures of us in various settings, wearing our Rzeszow costumes. We followed his every instruction, holding poses, spinning, smiling and generally working very hard:-) And the results are worth it! See attached. He will be using some of the pictures for his very complimentary article on PKM in the May issue of Polish American Journal, and we can use them for future publicity needs! Stas, thanks for your time and especially your patience!

April is also the time of the year that many of you make pledges to the United Way. We ask that you consider designating your donation to Polish causes, such as the Polish Social Services. Our own Rich Klimek is a member of that team and tirelessly works to better the lives of Polish Americans and others.

Direct your donor choice donations to Polish American Social Services using the following code numbers:

United Way of Southern PA - 1869

Combined City of Philadelphia Campaign - 11-01869

Combined Federal Campaign - 32788

Please check out our calendar for upcoming events

Looking forward to seeing everyone on Friday,
Diane
