PKM Update 9-24-2012

Kochani,

A lot has changed since the last email. I have moved to Lausanne, Switzerland, and the dance group is entering a very busy performance season. As the Calendar below suggests, there is a lot of dancing to be done in the next few weeks! Everyone had a a nice, long break and now its time to dust off those dance shoes and get in dancing shape again:)

Like this past weekend, PKM was well-represented at St. John Cantius Polish School's 20th Anniversary Banquet. We all danced the night away! In attendance were Debbie Majka, Krzys Mozdzonek, Paula Kwasniewska, Andrzej Wisniewski, Liz Stasnek, Basia Goral, Ola and Jan Goral (they're dancing again!), David Zagorski, Tina Saraczewska, and legacy dancer Andrzej Mieckowski :)

This Sunday, September 30, PKM will perform a the Vineland Flag Raising ceremony. The show will be short, and food they feed the participants delicious. We need to decide what numbers are to be performed and agree on logistics. Please arrive at practice on time so there is time to prepare.

After all the performances we have scheduled this and next month, we can go to see Slask, the National Song and Dance Ensamble of Poland, and compare how we measure up. I am sure by then PKM's level will be very close to Slask's? Lets talk on Friday about getting tickets so we can all sit together. I for one, cannot wait to see the show! See attached flyer.

Also attached is thePFDAA Quarterly Newsletter, letting you know what our umbrella organization is up to.

The Halloween Party at Polish Home is Saturday, October 27 from 8:30 to 1:30. Costumes are encouraged, DJ Narodowski will play. Tickets are $25, include appetizers, dinner and dessert. Cash bar with $2 Sobieski shots. I'll see if I can get the flyer from Andrzej so it can be attached to tomorrow's email.

As many of you know, Debbie is the Grand Marshall this year for the Pulaski Day Parade. I would like to invite everyone to attend the Parade Banquet the night before as one of our PKM events to honor Debbie. Tickets are $60, sit-down dinner and open bar, and good music. It is one of the major fundraisers for the parade, so I think we should all attend. Let Andrew know who wants tickets, and we will submit our payments all at once.

Please check the Calender tab to stay updated on events!
I hope to see EVERYONE at practice this Thursday and Friday.
