Kochani,

It has been over a month since the last official PKM email, but now I am back from Poland and you will be hearing from us more regularly:)
Firstly, thanks to all that participated in our summer performances, namely the wedding on July 10, birthday party on July 17 and a parish Polish Festival in White Marsh on Aug 2. I understand all performances went very well thanks to the efforts of the dancers as well as our Summer Performance Coordinator, Ela Kij-Antoniak.
Now we focus on getting ready for the Czestochowa performance which is coming up on Sunday, September 5. We will perform on the main stage at 1PM. We will recycle the program from our Baltimore performance, which was very well received by local audiences and others familiar with the format.
For the Czestochowa show we will also bring back the Stara Warszawa suite, as taught to us by Dennis Klima. He was kind enough to visit us last Friday, and offer his comments on getting our dances stage-ready. After a rigorous workout, we naturally visited the nearby diner to replentish our reserves. Dennis, thanks for your efforts and insight!
In order to get ready for Czestochowa, we are in the process of putting together Stara Warszawa costumes. The task has proven more difficult than initially anticipated, but we are making progress. On Friday, we will have 8 girls' skirts ready. Girls, please bring a long sleeve white shirt so we can hone in on the specific look for that suite / era. We will address the guys costume needs next.
Practice will begin at 7:30, as usual.
